Voltage legal
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Voltage collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and how to contact us about privacy or data requests.
Effective date: September 5, 2026
Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Voltage collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you visit the website, request beta access, create an account, connect integrations, use the dashboard, or communicate with us.
Voltage is built for paid community owners. The product analyzes subscription, payment, member, engagement, and retention workflow data so owners can understand recurring revenue risk and take human-approved action before members cancel.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of Voltage, and information imported from services you connect or authorize.
- Account information, such as name, email address, authentication state, organization membership, account preferences, support requests, and beta access details.
- Organization information, such as community or business name, timezone, plan, billing status, setup progress, notification preferences, automation settings, and usage limits.
- Beta access information, such as submitted email address, optional name, request status, approval status, invitation links, and related email delivery events.
- Stripe-derived revenue information, such as customers, subscriptions, prices, MRR, trial status, payment state, cancellation state, invoice payment status, and billing metadata needed for retention analysis.
- Community platform information from supported paths for Skool, Circle, Discord, or similar platforms, such as member profile identifiers, activity timestamps, participation counts, membership context, and matching signals.
- Retention workflow information, such as risk scores, risk reasons, alerts, tasks, outreach drafts, follow-up dates, completion status, notes, tags, and owner-entered outcomes.
- Technical information, such as log data, browser and device details, IP address, request metadata, error reports, security events, and performance information.
How We Use Information
Voltage uses collected information to operate the service, protect accounts, calculate retention intelligence, support connected workflows, communicate with users, and improve the product.
- Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the website, beta access flow, dashboard, integrations, billing, alerts, reports, and retention workflows.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, enforce organization boundaries, apply entitlements, and prevent unauthorized access.
- Import and normalize subscription, payment, member, and engagement data from authorized integrations.
- Calculate deterministic risk scores, revenue at risk, churn movement, trial conversion, cohort insights, task queues, and weekly operating reports.
- Send service emails, beta confirmations, account notices, support replies, workflow notifications, and high-risk member alerts when enabled.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent abuse, fraud, security incidents, product misuse, and cross-tenant access attempts.
- Analyze aggregate product usage and reliability so we can improve Voltage without exposing customer secrets or unnecessary member details.
Cookies and Sessions
Voltage uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session persistence, preferences, security, and basic product operation. Supabase Auth session cookies help keep users signed in and protect application routes.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may prevent login, dashboard access, or integration setup from working correctly.
Connected Services
When you connect Stripe, Skool, Circle, Discord, or another supported service, Voltage uses the access you authorize to read the data needed for retention intelligence. We do not ask for unnecessary write permissions when read-only access is sufficient for the feature.
Provider credentials, API keys, OAuth tokens, webhook secrets, service-role keys, and database credentials are handled server-side. They are not intentionally exposed to the browser. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect each account and process the imported data through Voltage.
AI Processing
Voltage may use AI features to create summaries, drafts, reports, or recommendations based on minimized, organization-scoped facts. AI features are intended to support human judgment, not replace it.
We do not send provider credentials, service-role credentials, payment card details, or raw integration secrets to AI providers. When AI features are used, we aim to pass only the information needed to generate the requested output.
Security
Voltage is designed around organization-scoped access. Each organization is treated as a tenant boundary, and server-side checks are used to restrict dashboard data, tasks, alerts, members, integrations, and settings to authorized users.
No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we use practical safeguards such as server-side authorization, environment-separated secrets, protected sessions, least-privilege integration handling where practical, audit logging, and secure deployment practices.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Voltage, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce agreements, and maintain reliable backups. Retention periods may vary based on the type of data and the state of your account.
You may request deletion or export of your account or organization data by contacting support. Some data may be retained where required by law, for security, for billing records, for fraud prevention, or in backups until they expire through normal backup cycles.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also ask us not to send non-essential emails.
To make a request, email support@usevoltage.app. We may need to verify your identity and authority over the organization before fulfilling requests involving account, organization, or member data.
Customer Responsibilities
Voltage helps community owners process information about their members. If you use Voltage, you are responsible for giving required notices, obtaining required consents, respecting member rights, and making sure your use of Voltage complies with laws and platform rules that apply to your community.
You should not upload or connect data you are not authorized to process, and you should avoid entering sensitive message contents, payment card details, government identifiers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information into Voltage.
Children
Voltage is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Voltage, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International Use
Voltage is operated from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice through the website, dashboard, or email.
