Voltage legal

Terms of Service

These terms explain how Voltage may be used, what customers are responsible for, and the boundaries around beta access, integrations, billing, risk intelligence, and retention workflows.

Effective date: September 5, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Voltage, including the website, beta access flow, dashboard, integrations, reports, risk calculator, alerts, tasks, and related services.

By accessing or using Voltage, creating an account, requesting beta access, connecting an integration, or using the dashboard, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Voltage for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that organization.

Service

Voltage provides retention and revenue intelligence for paid communities. The service helps owners connect subscription data with community activity, identify members or recurring revenue that may need attention, and organize human-approved retention workflows.

Voltage may include beta, experimental, or early-access functionality. Beta features may change, break, be limited, or be removed as the product improves.

Accounts and Organizations

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, the security of your account, and all activity under your account. You must not share login credentials, attempt to access another customer account, or use Voltage for an organization you are not authorized to manage.

Organizations are treated as tenant boundaries. Users may only access organization data, integrations, tasks, alerts, reports, members, and settings they are authorized to access.

Integrations

Some Voltage functionality depends on connected services such as Stripe, Skool-supported automation paths, Circle, Discord, email providers, or other third-party platforms. You are responsible for obtaining any required permissions, notices, consents, exports, API keys, or platform access needed to connect those services.

Voltage does not control third-party platforms. Their availability, data quality, API access, permission model, rate limits, policies, account status, and changes may affect what Voltage can import or analyze.

Customer Data

You retain ownership of your customer data, member data, integration data, organization data, and content you provide to Voltage. You grant Voltage permission to host, process, analyze, transmit, and display that data as needed to provide and improve the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload, connect, import, process, and use member, subscriber, payment, and community activity data through Voltage.

Retention Intelligence

Risk scores, churn insights, alerts, reports, recommendations, AI summaries, and workflow suggestions are decision-support tools. They are not guarantees that a member will cancel, stay, pay, engage, or respond.

You are responsible for reviewing the available context and deciding what action to take. Voltage does not automatically send emails, Discord messages, or other external outreach unless you have configured and approved that behavior through a supported feature.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Voltage or use it in a way that harms the service, other users, third-party platforms, or community members.

  • Do not access or attempt to access another organization, account, integration, member record, or tenant data without authorization.
  • Do not upload or process data you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not use Voltage to send spam, deceptive outreach, unlawful messages, or unwanted communications.
  • Do not scrape, reverse engineer, attack, overload, bypass limits, probe security controls, or interfere with the service.
  • Do not submit malware, secrets belonging to others, payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Do not use Voltage in a way that violates laws, platform rules, integration provider terms, or member privacy rights.

Billing and Plans

Paid plans, prices, usage limits, member limits, trial terms, renewal timing, cancellation options, and billing details are shown in the product, checkout, invoice, or order flow. Billing may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for keeping payment information accurate and for any taxes, fees, or charges associated with your plan.

If payment fails, access may be limited, suspended, or terminated. Refunds, credits, discounts, and promotional access are provided only when stated in writing or required by law.

Referrals

Voltage may offer referral links, introductory discounts, beta access, or account credits. Referral rewards are available only for qualified referrals that meet the current program requirements.

Referral rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for payouts, may be capped, and may be withheld, rejected, reversed, or expired for suspected abuse, self-referrals, refunds, chargebacks, duplicate accounts, or cancellations during the qualification period.

Referral discounts and account credits do not change the standard plan prices and may not be combined with other promotions unless Voltage explicitly allows it.

Intellectual Property

Voltage and its licensors own the service, software, design, code, workflows, documentation, trademarks, templates, and product improvements. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Voltage to you.

If you send feedback, suggestions, ideas, or product requests, you allow Voltage to use them without restriction or obligation to compensate you. You retain ownership of your customer data and member data.

Communications

You may receive service emails, beta access emails, account notices, security notices, workflow reminders, alert emails, billing notices, and support messages. You may opt out of non-essential marketing messages, but transactional and security messages may still be sent.

You are responsible for the legality and appropriateness of any outreach you send to your members using drafts, templates, recommendations, or contact workflows generated by Voltage.

Availability and Changes

We work to keep Voltage reliable, but the service may be unavailable, delayed, limited, or interrupted due to maintenance, provider outages, deployment issues, rate limits, internet failures, security needs, or events outside our control.

We may update, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the product evolves, especially during beta.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Voltage at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay amounts owed, misuse integrations, or use the service in a way that could harm Voltage, users, providers, or others.

After termination, your access to the dashboard may end. Certain records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy or as required for billing, security, legal compliance, backup, or dispute purposes.

Disclaimers

Voltage is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Voltage does not guarantee any specific retention result, revenue result, churn reduction, member behavior, billing outcome, deliverability outcome, integration availability, or business result.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltage will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, goodwill, business interruption, or other intangible losses.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voltage's total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Voltage for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred dollars if you have not paid Voltage.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Voltage from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your customer data, your connected integrations, your member communications, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Disputes

If a dispute arises, contact us first at support@usevoltage.app so we can try to resolve it informally. The governing law, venue, arbitration, class-action waiver, and other formal dispute provisions should be reviewed with counsel before broad commercial launch.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide notice through the website, dashboard, or email. Continued use of Voltage after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
